All You is suddenly available all over
March 28, 2014
Since its launch, All You has been available on newsstands only at Walmart, a strategy with both advantages (the retailer accounts for 15 percent of all newsstand sales, and it’s the ideal place to reach the women 25-54 the Time Inc. publication was targeting) and disadvantages (um, only one outlet).
But at a time when newsstand sales are down for nearly all magazines, All You is ready to expand.
The magazine will become available outside of Walmart for the first time with the April issue, which hits newsstands today.
Following an experimental distribution at other retailers in the Southeast last year, All You will be distributed at supermarkets, drug stores and bookstores across the country, including Safeway, Publix, Kroger, Target, CVS, Walgreens and Barnes & Noble.
The magazine also remains available by subscription, which accounts for about 75 percent of its circulation.
All You, which launched nine years ago, cites data from Insight Strategy Group showing that consumers who consider themselves smart shoppers have doubled over the past decade, and that these shoppers visit multiple retailers to get the best deals.
