At the box office over the weekend ended May 22, “The Angry Birds Movie” opened at No. 1 at the box office with $39.0 million in ticket sales. “Captain America: Civil War” slipped to No. 2 with $33.1 million.
In movie rentals for the week ended May 23, according to iTunes, “Deadpool” was at No. 1 for the fourth week in a row, followed this time by “Dirty Grandpa.”
On iTunes yesterday morning, “Can’t Stop the Feeling” by Justin Timberlake was the No. 1 song for the third straight week, followed again by “One Dance” by Drake.
And in books, “15th Affair” by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro remained at No. 1 on The New York Times’ hardcover fiction best-sellers list for the week ended May 14, its second straight week on top, and it was also No. 2 on USA Today’s book chart for the week of May 19.
