comcast logoMedia buyers and planners woke up this morning to learn that Comcast, the nation’s largest cable operator, is buying Time Warner Cable, the second largest, in a deal worth almost $45 billion.

The deal will expand Comcast’s share of the paid TV market to 30 percent of cable households, up from around 22 percent. The acquisition, which comes a couple years after Comcast bought NBCUniversal, is sure to have an impact on the media business.

Media Life wants to know what you think.

How will Comcast’s acquisition change local cable? Will the deal make it through regulatory scrutiny? Do you think it’s a good idea?

The results will be posted in the coming days.
