‘Quantico’ gets a vote of confidence
October 13, 2015
ABC may have finally fixed its troubled 10 p.m. Sunday slot.
The network has given a full-season order to new drama “Quantico,” which airs in the 10 p.m. hour on Sundays, after the show posted solid ratings to start and saw a bigger three-day DVR uptick in week two compared to week one.
The first three episodes of the show have averaged a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating, according to Nielsen. The show is the only new drama to hold 100 percent of its rating from week one to week two so far.
The drama follows a group of FBI recruits, one of whom pulls off a terrorist attack.
The show was originally slated to air on Tuesdays, but ABC moved it to Sunday after the drama it had slated to air there, the biblical show “Of Kings and Prophets,” was bumped to midseason.
“Quantico” is one of the highest-rated new shows this season, though that’s not saying a lot. Most shows have gotten off to very slow starts.
It’s the second new program to receive a full-season pickup, following NBC’s “Blindspot” last week.
No shows have been canceled yet, though the order for Fox’s struggling “Minority Report” has been slashed from 13 episodes to 10.
