Best bet on broadcast: ABC, “Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown” 8 p.m. The 1975 “Peanuts” special, followed by the newer (2002) “A Charlie Brown Valentine.”
Best bet on cable: Investigation Discovery, “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover 2″ 10 p.m. Valentine’s Day special highlighting true stories of breakups gone bad.
Top sporting event: NBC, “Olympics,” 8 p.m. Medals are awarded in men’s figure skating, and Bode Miller competes for a medal in the men’s super combined final.
Best bet online: Netflix, “House of Cards.” The second season becomes available at midnight Friday. Can you say “Valentine’s Day binge marathon?”
SATURDAY
Best bet on broadcast: NBC, “Olympics,” 8 p.m. Events tonight include women’s super G, men’s large-hill ski jumping and men’s speed skating, both short and long track.
Best bet on cable: Nickelodeon, “Power Rangers Super Megaforce,” 12 p.m. The long-running kids’ show kicks off its 21st season.
Top sporting event: ESPN, “College Basketball,” 9 p.m. The game of the day is a huge SEC matchup between No. 3 Florida and No. 14 Kentucky.
SUNDAY
Best bet on broadcast: NBC, “Olympics,” 7 p.m. Ice dancing begins with coverage of the short program, along with women’s snowboard cross and cross-country relay.
Best bet on cable: Disney Channel, “Good Luck Charlie,” 8 p.m. Series finale. Teddy makes one final video in the last episode of one of the network’s top sitcoms.
Top sporting event: TNT, “NBA All-Star Game,” 8 p.m. East versus West in the 63rd annual game from New Orleans.
