FRIDAY

Best bet on broadcast: ABC, “Shark Tank” 9 p.m. A San Francisco mechanical engineer hears more than he wants to from panelist Mark Cuban.

Best bet on cable: Showtime, “Gucci: The Director” 8 p.m. Documentary profile of Frida Giannini, the creative director at Gucci.

Top sporting event: ESPN, “NBA Basketball,” 9:30 p.m. The top team in the East, the Indiana Pacers, face the West’s No. 3 team, the Houston Rockets.

SATURDAY

Best bet on broadcast: NBC, “Saturday Night Live,” 11:30 p.m. This week “Girls” star Lena Dunham guests, with musical guests The National.

Best bet on cable: Spike TV, “Cops,” 8 p.m. Season finale. The long-running reality series finishes its 26th season.

Top sporting event: ESPN, “College Basketball,” 9 p.m. No. 4 Duke hosts its archrival, No. 14 North Carolina.

SUNDAY

Best bet on broadcast: Fox, “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey,” 9 p.m. Series premiere. Science meets primetime broadcast TV in a reboot of the 1980 PBS series.

Best bet on cable: HBO, “True Detective,” 9 p.m. Season finale. Hart and Cohle find a new lead, but will they find the killer before the season ends? (Let’s hope so, since Matthew McConaughey has already said he won’t be back for season two.)

Top sporting event: NBC, “PGA Golf,” 2 p.m. Final round of the WGC-Cadillac Championship, won last year by Tiger Woods, his 17th career WGC win.

9 p.m.	WE	“Marriage Boot Camp” (R)	Season premiere. Five couples from “Bridezillas” meet up, and it doesn’t take them long to start fighting while drunk.
9:30 p.m.	ESPN	“NBA Basketball” (S)	The Pacers take on the Rockets in Houston.
10 p.m.	CBS	“Blue Bloods” (D)	A woman threatens to kill herself if the police don’t arrive in time.

10 p.m.	DIY	“The Vanilla Ice Project” (R)	Season premiere. In the fourth season premiere the former rapper updates a room with marble floors and a stone fireplace.

9 p.m.	Fox	“Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” (N)	Series premiere. A remake of the 1980 Carl Sagan PBS series examining the universe.
9 p.m.	ABC	“Resurrection” (D)	Series premiere. People from a small Missouri town who were presumed dead begin to reappear.
9 p.m.	AMC	“The Walking Dead” (D)	One of the groups find a place that they may be able to turn into a safe shelter.
9 p.m.	HBO	“True Detective” (D)	Season finale. Hart and Cohle find an overlooked detail results in a new lead in their murder investigation.
