The Raleigh News & Observer has named Sara Glines president and publisher, replacing the retired Orage Quarles III. Glines was previously regional president for the Atlantic group at Gannett.

Perry Puccetti has joined Kansas City agency Bernstein-Rein as vice president of client engagement, a newly created position. Puccetti was previously president and chief executive officer at Triple-I.
Pennsylvania agency Backe has brought in Dan Donovan, naming him vice president and creative director. Donovan joins from LearnQuest, where he was director of global digital marketing.
Brand communications consulting firm Lumentus has named Bryan Bridges director of digital strategy, effective immediately. Bridges was previously a senior director at Burson-Marsteller.

Digital analytics company Clicktale has promoted Tuval Chomut to chief executive officer, up from chief operating officer. The company has also named co-founder Tal Schwartz executive chairman of its board of directors.

CMT has added Jen Richards to the cast of “Nashville,” in a recurring role as a physical therapist. Richards previously appeared in “Her Story.”
Former president Bill Clinton will guest on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” on Sept. 15, discussing the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative. This will be Clinton’s 10th appearance on the show and first since Noah took over as host.
Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc, hosts of the BBC’s “The Great British Bake Off,” are leaving the show when it moves to the UK’s Channel 4 following the current season. There’s no word on whether judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood will stick around, although they’ve also previously made it clear they’d prefer to stay with the BBC.
