Chicago agency LAPIZ has named Luciana Cani senior vice president and executive creative director, putting her in charge of agency’s creative team. Cani was previously at Leo Burnett Lisbon, and before that she held roles at a number of agencies in Saõ Paulo, Brazil.
Jack Morton Worldwide has made a slew of moves, including three promotions: John Howard to executive vice president and managing director in Detroit, Tom Michael to senior vice president and group account and strategy director in San Francisco, and Ethan Gunning to senior vice president and executive creative director, also in San Francisco. The agency has also made six hires: Elizabeth Krato as executive vice president and director of operations in Detroit; Kate Crotty as senior vice president and account director for events in New York; Gary Baker as vice president and creative director in New York; Kristy Snowden as senior account director in San Francisco; David Harrison as senior creative director in San Francisco; and Brian Thompson as creative director in San Francisco. All nine moves are effective immediately.
Havas Chicago has named Jennifer Marszalek chief talent officer, effective immediately. Marszalek was previously vice president of human resources at Grubhub.
Digital agency IMM has made two hires, naming Rob Hofferman senior vice president of client partnerships and Corien de Jong senior vice president and executive creative director. Hofferman joins from Grenadier, de Jong from Leopard.
DAVID Miami has made two promotions, naming Russell Dodson and Tony Kalathara creative directors. Both were previously associate creative directors.
Martha Stewart Weddings has made a number of additions, including naming Laura Wallis executive editor. She previously contributed at a number of titles, including Family Circle, Real Simple and ShopSmart. The magazine has also named Leigh Crandall senior editor, Dawn Sinkowski photo director, Joanna Garcia associate photo editor and Claire Sullivan editorial assistant.
New York Magazine has brought in Craig Jenkins as pop music critic, working with the magazine as well as its pop culture site Vulture. The company has also brought in Jen Chaney, naming her a TV columnist for Vulture. Jenkins has previously written for Pitchfork, Billboard, Spin and Noisey, while Chaney has worked at The Washington Post, New York Times and Esquire, among others.
Molly Baab has been named senior vice president and general manager of the business-to-consumer group at Purch, a tech news publisher. Baab joins from Rue La, where she was vice president of product management and user experience.
No surprises here: ABC has named Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood hosts of the 50th annual CMA Awards, which air on the network on Nov. 2. The duo has hosted the ceremony since 2008.
Actor Brett Donahue has joined Reelz’ upcoming miniseries sequel “The Kennedys: After Camelot,” playing John F. Kennedy Jr. Donahue previously appeared on the Canadian comedy “The Other Kingdom.”
