MTV has made a handful of moves, including hiring Jacqueline Parkes as executive vice president of marketing and creative. Parkes is a former chief marketing officer at Major League Baseball. The network has also brought in former Lifetime senior vice president Eli Lehrer, naming him executive vice president in charge at MTV2. Finally, MTV has also made a pair of promotions, naming Kristin Frank executive vice president of strategy, revenue and operations and Erik Flannigan executive vice president of music and events strategy and development.
Freeform has promoted Elizabeth Boykewich to senior vice president of casting and talent, reporting to executive vice president of programming and development Karey Burke. Boykewich joined the network (then ABC Family) in 2005.
Adam Bernstein has signed with Spike TV to direct and produce “The Mist,” a scripted series based on the Stephen King novella. Bernstein has previously directed the pilot episodes of “Fargo,” “30 Rock” and “Scrubs.”
Producer Ryan Murphy is set to direct and executive produce the FX limited series “Feud,” which looks at the battle between actresses Bette Davis and Joan Crawford on the set of “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?” Jessica Lange will play Crawford and Susan Sarandon will play Davis. Other cast members include Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Judy Davis and Dominic Burgess.
Digital agency Digital Pulp has made four hires: Karen Sideman as UX designer, Mordecai Bahat and Eric Shober as senior producers, and Rachel Rottenberg as account executive. Sideman joins from GameLike, Bahat from Zynga, Shober from R/GA and Rottenberg from mcgarrybowen.
Advertising and public relations agency MassMedia has made a trio of hires, naming Jennifer Bradley media relations director and Robert Kennedy and Jessica Lovell media relations specialists. Bradley was previously at Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada, while Kennedy was a reporter at Courthouse News Service and Lovell was a news anchor in Las Vegas.
Calandria Meadows has been named vice president of social media and digital content for Bounce TV, as well as the networks Grit, Escape and LAFF. Meadows joins from Turner, where she was in charge of social program development for TNT, TBS and TCM.
Natalie Morales has been named co-host of “Access Hollywood” and “Access Hollywood Live,” taking over for Billy Bush, who is leaving to join “Today.” Morales will also continue to appear on “Today” and “Dateline.”
Real Simple magazine has named Brian Madigan director of video, beginning May 16. Madigan returns to the magazine after leaving in July to become photo director at BuzzFeed.
Adam Jenkins has been named executive producer for North America at Labs, the digital production division of the creative studio Framestore. Jenkins was previously an executive producer at Bloomberg.
