Hearst Magazines has named Michael Hainey executive director of editorial at Esquire magazine, as well as editor at large for Town & Country. Hainey, formerly editor at large at GQ, will report to Jay Fielden, editor in chief at Esquire and editorial director at Town & Country.
Nylon Media has named Jamie Elden president and chief revenue officer, effective immediately. Elden joins from Federated Media, where he was chief revenue officer and head of entertainment.
Sports Illustrated has added Tim Rohan to its football-focused site The MMQB as a writer, beginning in June. Rohan was previously beat writer for the New York Mets at The New York Times.
Luis DeAnda, president of the Los Angeles office at TBWA\Chiat\Day, is leaving his position, although it’s not clear what he will do next. No reason for the departure was given. DeAnda had been with TBWA agencies for 14 years.
NBCUniversal has named Betsy Bergman senior vice president of marketing and brand strategy for NBCUniversal TV Distribution, based in New York. Bergman was previously vice president of marketing at Sony Pictures Television.
Actress Lesley Nicol has joined the cast of ABC’s “The Catch,” appearing in a recurring role. Nicol previously appeared on “Downton Abbey.”
Hugh Fitzpatrick has joined National Geographic Channel, becoming vice president of scripted development and production. Fitzpatrick was previously head of TV at Teakwood Lane.
Nickelodeon has promoted Jama Williamson to series regular on “School of Rock” for its second season, continuing her role as Principal Mullins. Williamson has previously appeared on “Rake,” “Hollywood Heights” and “Parks and Recreation.”
CBS Radio has promoted Chad Fitzsimmons to vice president of music initiatives, based in the company’s Los Angeles office. Fitzsimmons had been director of music initiatives.
Anthony Mazzarella has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer at Accelerize, a marketing technology company.
