Juan Pablo Garnham has been named editor of CityLab Latino, a Spanish-language site from The Atlantic and Univision Digital. The site, a part of Univision.com, will feature both original reporting and translated stories from The Atlantic’s CityLab.com. Garnham was previously a city hall reporter at El Diaro in New York and a staff writer at Qué Pasa magazine in Chile.
Advertising software company Mediaocean has brought in Ramsey McGrory, naming him chief revenue officer. McGrory had been president at Scout Media.
San Francisco agency R2C Group has named Chris Peterson managing partner, a role he also held at the agency from 2008 to 2012. Peterson was most recently partner at Ascentor Group.
Dan Ragone has been named publisher and group media president at Maxim, replacing departed publisher Kevin Martinez. Ragone had been president and publisher at Interview magazine.
New York Media has named Kate Miller Spencer Midwest and Texas advertising director, working through her company Miller Media Sales. Spencer has previously worked with other magazines including Details, Food & Wine and Travel + Leisure.
Tennis Channel has named John Ward director of advertising sales, working with the Midwest and Central regions. Ward joins from NBC Sports Group, where he was an account executive.
Michelle Wolf has joined Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” where she will work as a writer and on-air contributor. Wolf was previously a writing supervisor on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
BBC America has added a number of actors to the cast of “Class,” its “Doctor Who” spinoff, including Greg Austin, Fady Elsayed, Sophie Hopkins, Vivian Oparah and Katherine Kelly. Production on the series began on Monday.
