GroupM has named Brian Lesser chief executive officer for North America, in charge of the media agency’s business in the U.S. and Canada. Lesser was previously global chief executive officer at Xaxis, a programmatic media company. He takes over for Kelly Clark, who will remain on in an advisory role. GroupM has also given global chief digital officer Rob Norman more responsibilities, naming him chairman for North America.
TBWA Worldwide has made a pair of moves, naming Baker Lambert global data director and Joshua Hirsch global technology director. Lambert was previously at TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles, while Hirsch joins from Big Spaceship.
Ben Ingersoll, chief creative officer at Grey Healthcare Group, is leaving his position to pursue other opportunities. Ingersoll has held the position since August 2014; a replacement is expected to be named soon.
David&Goliath has made a handful of personnel moves, including promoting Ben Purcell and Steve Yee to executive creative directors. The agency has also hired Bobby Pearce as an executive creative director, after he previously served in the same role at m:united in New York.
Ad agency Vladimir Jones has brought in Matt Ingwalson, naming him executive creative director. Ingwalson had been vice president and creative director at IMM.
Nylon has promoted Melissa Giannini to editor in chief, replacing the departed Michelle Lee. Giannini was most recently deputy editor at the magazine.
Online advertising technology company Quantcast has made two additions, naming Sandra McDevitt vice president of people and places and Paul Curtis director of agency group partnerships. McDevitt joins from Google, while Curtis was previously at NBCUniversal.
