Former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Dana Carvey is set to return to TV in USA’s “First Impressions,” a reality competition for comedic impressionists. Carvey will appear as a mentor on the series, for which he will also be an executive producer. There’s no word yet on when on the show will premiere.
The Weather Company has named Elliott Trice senior vice president of consumer product, putting him in charge of global product development. Trice was previously executive vice president and head of product at VivaKi.
Discovery Channel has brought in Jessica Driscoll, naming her vice president of communications. Driscoll had been director of media relations at HBO.
Mama June and Sugar Bear of late “Here Comes Honey Boo” fame have joined WE tv’s “Marriage Boot Camp Reality Stars,” which premieres Dec. 4. They join previously announced cast members Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici, Benzino and Althea Heart, Sundy Carter and Cedric, and Sarah Oliver and Jimmy “Inkman” Coney.
Tina Allan has joined BBDO New York as executive vice president and director of data solutions, a newly created position at the agency. Allan was previously at RAPP for 20 years, most recently as chief client officer.
Connecticut agency Mintz + Hoke has brought in Lisa Geissler, naming her associate media director. Geissler was most recently media director at Keiler & Co.
TBWA\Chiat\Day has named Linda Knight executive creative director, working in the agency’s Los Angeles office. Knight most recently worked as a freelancer, and she’s also previously worked at Wieden+Kennedy.
Leo Burnett Interactive has made two hires, naming Brian Ma senior vice president and executive creative director and Avital Pinchevsky senior vice president and creative director. Ma joins from Leo Burnett Hong Kong, Pinchevsky from CP+B Boulder.
Experian Marketing Services has named Bridget Bidlack vice president of global product management, based in New York. Bidlack joins from Rocket Fuel, where she was vice president of enterprise products.
Programmatic advertising company Rocket Fuel has promoted Randy Wootton to chief executive officer, taking over for acting CEO Monte Zweben. Wootton joined the company in March as chief revenue officer.
Rich Knopke has been named chief revenue officer at Genesis Media, an online video advertising technology company. Knopke was most recently senior vice president of sales at Gannett Digital.
CBS News has revealed plans for its Nov. 14 Democratic presidential debate, naming “Face the Nation” anchor John Dickerson moderator. Also joining the broadcast as panelists: CBS congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes; CBS Des Moines affiliate KCCI anchor Kevin Cooney; and Des Moines Register political columnist Kathie Obradovich.
ABC has added Ken Marino to the cast of “Marvel’s Agent Carter,” playing a villain in the show’s second season. Marino has previously appeared in “Childrens Hospital, “Marry Me” and “Party Down.”
