Fox has cast singer Carly Rae Jepsen as Pink Lady Frenchy in its “Grease: Live” telecast, which airs Jan. 31. She joins Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Hudgens, Carlos PenaVega and Keke Palmer in the cast.
Former president Bill Clinton will guest on CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” next week, appearing on the Oct. 6 episode. Clinton will appear following the conclusion of the 11th Clinton Global Initiative.
Leo Burnett Chicago has named Josh Crick senior vice president and managing director of digital integration, a newly created position. Crick was previously in charge of the digital practice at David&Goliath in Los Angeles.
Ivan Anisimov has been named head of Kinetic Active Russia, the out-of-home creative and production agency. Anisimov was most recently at Publicis Groupe.
Turner Sports has promoted Craig Barry to executive vice president of production and chief content officer, which includes oversight of the recently revealed eSports league. Barry was most recently senior vice president of production and executive creative director.
Matt Hanna has been promoted to executive vice president of original programming at Esquire Network, up from his previous position as senior vice president. Hanna has been with the network since 2012, and before that he was at True Entertainment.
AccuWeather has promoted Bernie Rayno to chief video meteorologist, putting him largely in charge of the cable network’s content. Rayno has been with the company for 25 years, including roles as senior meteorologist and executive producer.
CBS Radio has promoted Paul Donovan to vice president of engineering, effective immediately. Donovan had been director of engineering for the Northeast region.
Netflix has added Christopher Mintz-Plasse to its upcoming comedy “Flaked,” joining Will Arnett in the cast. Mintz-Plasse will play a young technology expert looking to fit in in Venice, California.
Fred Stickel, longtime publisher of The Oregonian, died over the weekend at age 93. No cause was given. Stickel was publisher at the paper for 34 years, retiring in 2009. The paper won five Pulitzer Prizes under his watch.
