Nickelodeon has named Mark Wahlberg host of this year’s “Kids’ Choice Awards,” which air on the network on March 29. Nominations for the 27th annual event will be out in February. Previous hosts include Josh Duhamel, Will Smith, Justin Timberlake, Ben Stiller and Mike Myers.
Ally Lattman has joined WE tv as scripted programming consultant, working alongside senior vice president of scripted programming Cheryl Bloch. Lattman has previously worked at Universal TV, Lionsgate and Piller-Segan-Shepherd.
DDB has named John Maxham chief creative officer in its Chicago office, taking over for Ewan Paterson, who left in August. Maxham was previously managing partner and executive creative director at Cole & Weber.
Twentieth Century Fox Television has made a pair of promotions, naming Howard Kurtzman president of business operations and Mark Pearson executive vice president of brand management and digital media. Kurtzman joined the company in 1997, Pearson in 2005.
Kathy Kelly-Brown has been promoted at NBCUniversal, becoming senior vice president of global talent booking. Kelly-Brown was most recently senior vice president of communications for the company’s news group.
Spanish-language media company Entravision has named Andrew Polsky vice president of national digital marketing solutions, effective immediately. Polsky joins from Spanish Broadcasting System, where he was vice president of digital media.
Craig Brewer has signed a new deal with Paramount TV, under which he will write, direct and produce two drama pilots. Brewer previously directed an episode of “The Shield,” as well as a number of movies, including “Hustle & Flow.”
Actress Jennifer Carpenter has joined ABC’s drama pilot “Sea of Fire,” playing an FBI agent. Carpenter most recently appeared in Showtime’s “Dexter.”
New York Media has named Michelle Imbrogno Miller executive director of integrated sales, working on sales across the company’s platforms. She was previously sales director at American Express Publishing.
Inc. Media has made two moves, naming James Ledbetter editor and John Donnelly publisher. Ledbetter joins from Thomson Reuters, Donnelly from Fortune.
Interview magazine has brought in Keith Pollock as editor in chief, taking over for the departed Stephen Mooallem. Pollock is a founding editor of Dujour, and he’s also former editorial director at Elle.com.
Digital advertising technology company 33Across has made four hires, naming Adam Alter vice president of performance marketing, Stephen McDermott vice president of strategic sales, Corey Caffrey director of sales and Ryan Wilson director of West Coast strategy. Alter joins from Epic Advertising, McDermott from Kinetic Social, Caffrey from SocialVibe and Wilson from ValueClick
