Kentucky agency Cornett has promoted Christy Hiler to president, working alongside chief executive officer Kip Cornett. Hiler had been chief strategy officer at the agency.

Lionsgate has promoted Chris Selak to executive vice president of worldwide television, up from executive vice president of TV. Selak has been in charge of the company’s TV development since 2011.
Garrett English has been promoted to executive vice president of event programming, specials and news at MTV, along with VH1 and Logo. English had been senior vice president at MTV.
Discovery Communications has brought in Arti Umesh, naming her vice president of marketing strategy and partnerships. Umesh was previously director of integrated marketing planning and strategy at the American Cancer Society.
Gina Balian, executive vice president of series development at FX Networks and FX Productions, has added oversight of international programming to her responsibilities as well. Balian has been with FX for four years.
Jesse Sisgold has been promoted to president and chief operating officer at Skydance Media, which produces the Netflix comedy “Grace and Frankie.” He had been chief operating officer.
Silvergate Media, a TV production and licensing company, has brought in Jeff Farnath as chief financial officer. Farnath previously held the same position at Walt Disney Studios Latin America, Laika Entertainment and Classic Media.
Syfy has added Aisha Dee to the cast of its anthology series “Channel Zero: No-End House,” playing the best friend of Amy Forsyth’s character. Dee previously appeared on “Chasing Life.”
Magazines
Meredith has promoted Monika Eyers to East Coast editor at Better Homes & Gardens, after she served as a contributor since January 2016. Eyers has previously worked at Traditional Home and was a founding editor of Domino.
Elsewhere
Media research company Coleman Insights has made two promotions, naming David Baird vice president of research operations and Eileen Genna vice president of business operations. Both joined the company in 2008 as directors.
Jeff Valentine has been named vice president of sales for North and Latin America at Lotame, a data management platform. Valentine was previously chief revenue officer at Choicestream.
