NBC sweeps Republican convention coverage
Network wins the 10 p.m. hour with coverage of Trump's speech

CBS finished first on a watered-down Thursday night for broadcast, thanks once again to “Big Brother.” Meanwhile NBC completed a political sweep for the week with its coverage of the Republican National Convention.
“Big Brother” was the top program of the night among viewers 18-49 with a 1.7 rating, off 11 percent from a 1.9 last Thursday. Still, that helped the network to first place for the night in the demo with a 1.2 average rating and a 5 share.
NBC was second for the night among 18-49s at 1.0/4, led by its RNC news coverage in the 10 p.m. hour with a 1.1. NBC won all four nights of RNC coverage versus CBS and ABC across the board, including in 18-49s, 25-54s and total viewers.
That said, convention coverage aired live and Donald Trump‘s speech went well past 11 p.m. Final ratings should be released later today.
ABC finished third for the night in 18-49s at 0.7/3, followed by Telemundo and Fox and 0.6/3. Telemundo was second overall in the 10 p.m. hour with a 0.8 for “Señora Acero,” behind only NBC’s RNC coverage.
Univision finished just behind Telemundo and Fox at 0.6/2, and CW was seventh at 0.2/1.
