CW stays with October to roll out fall schedule
June 19, 2016
The CW has long staggered its fall schedule debut dates to start in October, letting the Big Four networks have premiere week and hoping that a couple weeks later, the excitement of the new shows will have worn off and the CW hopes they’ll be ready to try out other new programs.
The network will air its first premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 4, with the third-season return of its top program, “The Flash.”
That will be followed by “No Tomorrow.”
The network will air a two-night special, “iHeartRadio Music Festival,” on Oct. 6 and 7, and on Oct. 10, “Supergirl” will make its debut on the CW.
That show, of course, aired on CBS last season. Sister network CW picked up the second-year drama after CBS decided to pass on a second season, and the comic book series is expected to mesh better with the CW’s young-skewing audience.
