Crossover boosts Fox Thursday dramas
'Bones' draws a 1.3 in 18-49s, up a tenth, while 'Hollow' surges
October 30, 2015
Fox’s Thursday dramas got a boost from a crossover that lifted both shows’ numbers on the first night of the November sweeps.
“Bones” posted a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating at 8 p.m., according to Nielsen overnights, growing a tenth over last week.
Lead-out “Sleepy Hollow,” which has struggled to start the season, surged 38 percent vs. last week, posting a 1.1. That was a season high for the program.
The Halloween-themed crossover started with the “Hollow” crowd showing up on “Bones,” then the latter finished up their investigation on “Hollow.”
CBS won the night as usual, with its last regularly scheduled “Thursday Night Football” game of the season. Next week entertainment programming returns to the night, though the network does have one addition special “TNF” scheduled for next month.
Elsewhere last night, ABC was the top non-sports network, though its dramas were down from last week. “Scandal” drew a 2.3 at 9 p.m., off 8 percent, while “How to Get Away with Murder” dropped 14 percent, to a 1.8, a new series low.
NBC’s new shows both slid a tenth, with “Heroes: Reborn” drawing a 1.0 and “The Player” averaging a 0.7. But “The Blacklist” grew a tenth from last week to a 1.5, its best rating since its premiere.
The CW’s lineup, meanwhile, was even to last week.
